Magical programs made for libraries

Story-driven programs combining careful research, humor, audience participation, and magic for children, teens, and adults.

Are these magic shows?

Sort of.

First and foremost, these are story-driven presentations. Dinosaur Safari is about dinosaurs. New England Ghosts is about ghosts. The magic is used to communicate ideas, themes, plots and yes, to add wonder and surprise.

The amount of magic varies by program. New England Ghosts has a light touch of magic and focuses more on artifacts. Dinosaur Safari has a lot of magic, but it’s still dinos first, magic second.

Except for the Magic Show program. That one is, you know, a magic show.

Content and age ratings

Even the scariest programs here are not like a rated R movie, but some of us do have very active imaginations and are susceptible to fear.

The young readers programs are fun, loud, and silly while still being full of information.

Everything else is “family” appropriate. Nothing objectionable for the kids while still having the complexity to engage adults.
