Dinosaur Safari
A 2026 Summer Reading Program tie-in.
*The summer of 2026 has passed, but this program is still available is a slightly altered state. Who doesn’t love dinosaurs?
Young readers go on a magical archeological adventure with a focus on dinosaurs connected to New England.
Fun, silly, and magical
Well-researched and factually accurate
Books available for checkout are featured in the program
I work with your library to help attendees sign up for a library card (depending on local policies)
In the summer of 2026, this program was present almost 40 times across New England. It didn’t fit into the summer plans of every library so, by request, it will remain available through the end of 2027.
What do we learn about dinosaurs?
Where in the world did they live?
When did we learn the two legged dinosaurs had feathers?
Which two New England states have dinosaur fossils and why don’t the others?
How can you think like a paleontologist?
Let’s talk
what about the magic?
Can you notice things suddenly appear?
Dinosaur tails escape from a volunteer's hand.
If dinosaurs were magicians they would need a dinosaur sized magic wand.
And more!
This is a program about dinosaurs with fun magic to help tell the stories (not a magic show with a few dinosaur facts).
